I live about 10 miles from this place. It’s called the Bruce Mansion and was built in 1876. From the bit that I read, the first person to die in the home was Cynthia Smith in 1921 after becoming ill with a fever. The home eventually was bought by John Walker in 1926 (there were multiple owners between Cynthia and him).
